1. Commit the scripture to memory – Psalm 119:11
Your word I have hidden in my heart,That I might
not sin against You.
Corrie Ten Boom did this to survive the
concentration camps.
2. Pray for your enemies – Matthew 5:44
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those
who curse you, do good to those who hate you,
and pray for those who spitefully use you and
persecute you,
3. Ask God for boldness - Acts 4:28-30
Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your
servants that with all boldness they may speak
Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to
heal, and that signs and wonders may be done
through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”
4. Encourage each other - 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore comfort each other and edify one
another, just as you also are doing.
5. Do not forsake gathering - Hebrews 10:25
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves
together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting
one another, and so much the more as you see
the Day approaching.
Example: When animal is going to be attacked
even by nature the herd stays together.
6. Let love rule your heart - Romans 5:5
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love
of God has been poured out in our hearts by the
Holy Spirit who was given to us.
7. Keep your eyes on Jesus - Hebrews 12:2-3
Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our
faith, who for the joy that was set before Him
endured the cross, despising the shame, and has
sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
For consider Him who endured such hostility from
sinners against Himself, lest you become weary
and discouraged in your souls.
Corrie Ten Boom – Warned the Chinese church of coming persecution.
There are some among us teaching there will be no tribulation, that the Christians will be able to escape all this. These are
the false teachers that Jesus was warning us to expect in the latter days. Most of them have little knowledge of what is
already going on across the world. I have been in countries where the saints are already suffering terrible persecution.
In China, the Christians were told, "Don't worry, before the tribulation comes you will be translated – raptured." Then came
a terrible persecution. Millions of Christians were tortured to death. Later I heard a Bishop from China say, sadly,
"We have failed.
We should have made the people strong for persecution,
rather than telling them Jesus would come first.
Tell the people how to be strong in times of persecution,
how to stand when the tribulation comes,
– to stand and not faint."
rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly
